I grew up as a small-town midwestern girl in Illinois, and somehow found my way to Florida. I was taught classical art techniques early on and since have found a new freedom with Altered art and collage. As a child my Mother would take me to the Art Institute of Chicago. I loved those trips and would look forward to them with fervor. One of my best memories was standing in the museum in front of HUGE floor to ceiling paintings by Monet. I was instantly swept away into a world of water and flowers. I felt more alive than ever before and it was truly an indescribable feeling. Since then, I have been devoted to living my life through art.

Art is my escape down the rabbit hole, a magical new world to discover. When I’m working, the “real” world and all its worry seem to fade away. I have finally found my happiness and I’m on an amazing journey as people are starting to take notice of me.
Flourish and filigree…oh my! I love elaborate, elegant, pretty things. But I also love things that are well-loved and worn. Through these qualities I try to compose my art. I start with vintage finds or reproductions and many new products you can find today and unite them to form a rich, one-of-a-kind piece that is made by hand. I find old objects and pictures irresistible because they remind me of our ties to the past and the stories they have to tell. I like to pay special loving attention to detail in all that I do. I am not about quantity but quality. It takes me a long time to create my pieces and I put my heart into everything that I make. My only hope is that my art will find homes with those who will treasure them as much as I do.
